Trauma therapy

The aftermath of a traumatic experience can have devastating effects on your life. If you’re dealing with trauma, you may be struggling with poor sleep, hampered performance at work or struggling feeling safe in relationships.

You might also feel like you are in a constant state of stress that brings emotional distress and impacts your health and wellbeing.

Many who experience trauma, struggle with the uncomfortable feeling of not having control. They can live in a state of dysregulation, and turn to substances or other ways to self medicate.

Research suggests that trauma is extremely common. It is not only caused by extreme life or death situations but trauma is in the eye of the beholder. The challenge with trauma is that once that traumatic experience is over, your body continues to relive it. Although it may seem insurmountable, you have the power to move past your trauma, and build a new and healthier future, where you feel in control of your emotions, behaviours and thoughts.

I’m here to help.
